Companies house Data is
filed at Companies House by all UK limited companies in return for their
'limited' status. This includes ownership details, financial details and
directors details. All of this data is received and updated onto
Experian's database on a daily basis.
Registries Data is regularly
collected from a number of registries, including the following: Building
Societies Registry, Charities Registry, Friendly Societies Registry.
Adverse Data County Court
Judgments, bankruptcies, winding-up petitions, liquidations etc., are
collated from a number of sources, including the London & Edinburgh
Gazettes, the Belfast Gazette and Registry Trust.
Payment Trends Data is
available on how quickly individual businesses are paying their bills.
This is based on actual payment behaviour by collating details from sales
ledgers.
Publishing Information
published in directories and in the press is added into the database on a
daily basis.
Direct Contact Information
can be collected via direct contact with a subject business. This can be
particularly useful for new limited companies, or for non-limited
businesses where little other data is available.
Scores And Ratings The
scores used in Experian's reports are created by
applying statistically proven scoring models to the data held about a
person. The score is an indication of the likelihood of payment default.
The higher the score, the lower the risk.
Please note that Experian's scores
are probability opinions provided for guidance. Experian offers no
guarantee that persons awarded a particular score will perform in a
certain way. Please see our terms and conditions
for further detail.
References Information
is collected via direct contact with employees, previous employers,
education institutions and professional bodies. This is particularly useful
when building a picture of an applicant's employment and residency history.
